Meet Rob LaCivita
Rob is JL Smith’s Chief Operating Officer and responsible for guiding clients through the processes of comprehensive financial, tax, retirement, and estate planning. As the COO, Rob helps the organization run smoothly and fuel growth initiatives. His passion is helping clients with holistic wealth management, looking to increase his clients’ income, reduce their tax penalties, and help grow and protect their assets.
Education & Experience
Rob received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Miami University in Oxford, where he majored in finance. A lifelong learner, he continued his education, studying law and earning his juris doctor at Cleveland State University College of Law. Throughout his more than 20-year career in the financial industry, he’s shown clients his passion for providing wealth management that offers clarity, confidence, and education for clients, leading them into a more worry-free retirement.

Originally from Youngstown, Rob is driven by the challenge of elevating JL Smith’s potential and creating a collaborative culture around our team. He now lives in Avon with his wife, Maureen, and their two children. Outside of helping his clients achieve their dreams in retirement, his passions include traveling and cheering on Ohio State athletics, as well as his Cleveland sports teams.
