Matt Seitz is the Chief Marketing Officer at JL Smith, where he oversees the marketing and business development functions. In his roles, he has streamlined the marketing-sales funnel, improved the digital user experience, reinforced the brand identity, and implemented content marketing strategies.
As a leading expert in sales and marketing, he has been featured in Nasdaq, Barron’s, InvestmentNews, Financial Advisor Magazine, ThinkAdvisor, and Financial Advisor IQ. Matt also has a course published on the American College Knowledge Hub+ Platform, and has authored several ebooks on topics including: marketing planning, digital marketing tips, SEC Marketing Rule, and sales & marketing integration. He is a co-host of "The Rainmaker Multiplier” and “Holistic Wealth & Health” podcasts and has led dozens of webinars sharing his marketing expertise.
He is a graduate of the G2 Leadership Institute and a member of the American Marketing Association. Throughout his career, he has achieved numerous accolades. Most recently, Matt was named a finalist for CMO of the Year in 2023 by WealthManagement.com for their Industry Awards, in addition to being a finalist for ThinkAdvisor’s LUMINARIES for outstanding executive leadership. He was also named one of Cleveland’s Notable Marketing Executives in 2021 by Crain’s. Matt has also received industry recognition for content marketing, video marketing, and lead generation campaigns.
Committed to philanthropy, he has been honored as the Make-A-Wish Foundation Volunteer of the Year, and been actively involved as a coach for youth sports. Matt has personal ties to and supports the charitable organizations: Conquer Chiari, Alzheimer's Association, and Make-A-Wish Foundation. An avid sports fan, Matt was an associate board member of The Greater Cleveland Sports Commission.
When not working, Matt loves to spend time with his wife, Melissa, and three children: Riley, Crosby, and Mackenzie. Through his rugged personal journey, Matt has discovered the power of positive mindset and infused it into his businesses and community. He is on a mission to help business owners maximize growth through effective sales and marketing, strategic planning, laughter, and a positive mindset.
